What there is to do near the barn

Want to know what there is to do near the barn? Let’s take a look!

The Gower Peninsula is a haven for outdoor lovers and is widely known as Wales’ premier surfing destination. It is perfectly positioned to catch swells rolling in from the mid and South Atlantic, making it a favourite spot for surfers across the UK.

The rugged coastline offers a wide range of breaks, many tucked away in scenic, sheltered bays that were once used by smugglers over 150 years ago. These coves still hold plenty of secrets for curious surfers to uncover.

Right near our self-catering accommodation in Llangennith, you’ll find Llangennith Beach, part of the iconic Rhossili Bay. It is the main surf beach for the Gower area and picks up almost every swell that hits the South Wales coast. With three miles of open beach, it stays relatively quiet and can be surfed at any stage of the tide, making it ideal for both beginners and seasoned surfers.
